IMBEWU Science Foundation is a youth-focused STEMI organisation based in George, Western Cape, serving learners, educators and communities across the Eden District and Central Karoo District.
We exist to nurture talent, ignite curiosity and create meaningful pathways for young South Africans to reach their full potential in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and innovation.
Through accessible, high-impact programmes in robotics, coding, artificial intelligence, science fairs, competitions, planetarium experiences and educator development, IMBEWU helps learners move from curiosity to competence to opportunity.
WHO WE ARE
At IMBEWU, we believe that every young person deserves the chance to explore ideas, solve problems, build confidence and imagine a future where they can contribute meaningfully to South Africa’s innovation economy.
Our name, IMBEWU, means “seed” — a powerful symbol of potential. With the right support, encouragement and opportunities, every learner can grow into a capable thinker, creator, researcher, innovator and leader.
We work with schools, parents, educators, sponsors, government partners and community organisations to make STEMI learning more engaging, practical and accessible.
